Fishers Track pickup

Fishers Track offers an exhilarating downhill ride with breathtaking views of the Tongariro National Park. After a brief climb through the Erua forest, you’ll be rewarded with wide-open vistas of the mountains. Enjoy a thrilling 520-meter descent through native bush into the Retaruke Valley, continuing along gravel roads to the War Memorial Monument at the corner of Oio Road, where your transport will be waiting.

This family-friendly ride begins behind the historic railway station in National Park Village and is a must-try section of the Mountains to Sea – Ngā Ara Tūhono trail network.
